ISFIN meets with Qatari Minister
Soft power to build bridges between West and Arabic world.
At the occasion of the Culture day of Qatar, ISFIN has met with H.E Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari , Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage of the State of Qatar and Sheikh Ali Bin Jassim Al-Thani ,Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the European Union.
Prof. Laurent MARLIERE, CEO of ISFIN, says “We are strong believers in a new “Spice trade route” or a new “silk road”. It is paramount to re-invent relationships between East and West. Our ancestors have done so with the Arab merchants two thousands years ago. Trade and economic relationships can foster a better world of understanding. ISFIN is a great instrument to achieve that with multilateral relationships between the Western and the Islamic world in 65 countries”.
H.E Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari , Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage of the State of Qatar says that « Art causes people to look a little closer, to look closer at other cultures, at other people and their emotions, at the environment that surround them ».
By doing so, Qatar demonstrates that it is not just a world player in sports but that art and culture are also a priority for their authorities.
Sheikh Ali Bin Jassim Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the European Union, reminds that « Art's Contribution to Society is important in the sense that art and culture are, with trade, a great soft power to dialogue with other people. Long-term partnership can be built with the help of art, it is a great key to open discussions. We encourage the exchange of business and creative skills in both trade and art sectors. »
