Saad Rahman has setup a boutique firm based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, covering Eastern Africa. The company, Amani Partners, will provide three key services; Corporate Advisory, Shariah Advisory and Asset Management. Amani Partners was formed to meet market demand for an an independent, boutique firm, focussing on providing bespoke services to clients.


Our mission is to provide bespoke, impartial advice and services to our clients who are seeking to explore new markets. The results will demonstrate a deep understanding of the markets and aim to deliver long-term and tangible growth.


Our vision is to build a dedicated onshore presence in Tanzania offering Advisory, Shariah Advisory, and Asset Management services across Eastern Africa.

Prior to Amani Partners, Saad was a Managing Director with Credit Agricole CIB, based in both Bahrain and Dubai. He joined Credit Agricole CIB Bahrain in September 2005, to help establish the new Islamic banking team. He headed the team from Sept 2012 to March 2015 and had a global mandate focusing on origination, new product development, and structuring for the bank's Corporate and Investment Banking clients. Saad was a member of the Gulf’s Management Committee responsible for implementing the Bank’s global strategy.

Before joining Credit Agricole, In London Saad worked for both HSBC Holdings Plc in the Global Credit Dept with responsibility for Africa, Middle East and Turkey and at HSBC Investment Bank. After this, he was was posted to Dubai HSBC Middle East, where he worked for HSBC's Islamic Unit, HSBC Amanah.

While at Credit Agricole, Saad was a member of various committees including the Task Force of the Hong Kong Monetary Agency looking at Islamic Finance. He also served as a board member of the International Islamic Financial Market (IIFM), Bahrain looking at the global development of standardised Islamic Capital Market products.

Saad has a B.A. in Economics from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and an M.B.A. from London Business School.
